George Best Community CupRules, Requests, Code of conduct
![]() Code of conduct – On the Pitch We would like all children who take part in our festival to play football in a positive atmosphere; free from foul and abusive language, pressure, embarrassment and prejudice. Please help us to achieve this aim by abiding by the simple code:
1. Foul, abusive, sectarian or racist language from players, spectators or officials will not be tolerated. 2. Any decision by the referee is final, and a referee’s decision should never be disputed. 3. The health and safety of players is paramount. Players should not continue playing if they are injured or unwell. 4. Everyone should encourage and applaud all players, not just those in their team. 5. All teams must have a change of strip in the event of colour clash, in which case the second named team in the programme shall be required to change. 6. A player can be registered for one team only in the tournament. Once his team has been eliminated, he can take no further part at any age group. 7. Club representatives (supervisors/coaches/managers) are responsible at all times for their players and any visiting supporters. 8. Alcohol is totally banned from the event.
